BLUE WATER RED BLOOD
The
story of the development of the Amphibious Tractor used to land the Marines on
the islands during World War II told in the form of a novel. The story
chronicles three individuals who played key roles in developing amphibious
warfare. Donald Roebling, Andrew Higgins, and General Holland Smith fight the
system to provide the proper equipment to prevent the slaughter of troops in the
making the most dangerous of all military maneuvers, a landing on a fortified
